Classification: Category 0
Children's bicycles /mountain bikes (16 "to 24")
Comprises all CUBEchildren's bicycles for journeys on fortified paths, such as:
- Asphalted roads that are not used by motor vehicles.
- Cycle paths.
- Because of that are attached by sand, gravel or similar materials (e.g. forest road & field path) and are not used by motor vehicles.
The following applies: The wheels are in constant contact with the surface (no jumps, no driving on a wheel, no braking, with the rear wheel losing contact with the floor).
Responsibility of the parents: the intended use (correct handling of the bike), as well as instruction and control for the functionality of the wheel, are the responsibility of the legal guardians.
Classification: Category 1
Racing bikes, triathlon and time bicycles, fitness and urban bikes
For trips on fortified paths, such as:
- paved roads.
- Cycle paths.
The following applies: The wheels are in constant contact with the surface (no jumps, no driving on a wheel, no braking in which the rear wheel loses contact with the floor).
Classification: Category 2
Cross and trekking wheels (also hybrid), cyclus wheels, gravel bikes (also hybrid)
For trips on fortified paths, such as:
- paved roads.
- Cycle paths.
- Because of that are attached by sand, gravel or similar materials (e.g. forest road & field path).
- Fortified hiking trails on which roots, thresholds, stones and paragraphs are not or only a little.
The following applies: The wheels are in constant contact with the surface or, due to smaller bumps such as roots, only lose the ground contact (no jumps, no driving on a wheel, no braking in which the rear wheel loses contact with the floor).
Classification: Category 3
Mountain bikes with suspension fork and max. 120 mm travel (also hybrid)
For trips on paths, such as:
- paved roads.
- Cycle paths.
- Because of that are attached by sand, gravel or similar materials (e.g. forest road & field path).
- Fastened and unpaved hiking trails on which roots, thresholds, stones and paragraphs are more common.
The following applies: The wheels are in constant contact with the surface or, due to smaller bumps such as roots, only lose the ground contact (no jumps, no driving on a wheel, no braking in which the rear wheel loses contact with the floor).
ATTENTION: When using hinter building tapes, protective sheets, luggage carriers and bicycle trailers, the area of application of the model always changes to operational category 2.
Classification: Category 4
Mountain bikes fully sprung with max. 160/170 mm travel (also hybrid) / mountain bikes with suspension fork and max. 130 mm travel (also hybrid)
For trips on:
- paved roads.
- Cycle paths.
- Because of that are attached by sand, gravel or similar materials (e.g. forest road, dirt road).
- Fastened and unpaved hiking trails on which roots, thresholds, stones and larger paragraphs are more common.
- Raueren unpaved terrain with sporadic jumps of up to 0.5 meters.
The following applies: The wheels are in constant contact with the surface or, due to bumps such as roots, only lose ground contact (no driving on a impeller, no braking in which the rear wheel loses contact with the floor).

Classification: Category 5
Mountain bikes fully sprung with max. 170/190 mm travel travel
For trips on:
- paved roads.
- Cycle paths.
- Because of that are attached by sand, gravel or similar materials (e.g. forest road, dirt road).
- Fastened and unpaved hiking trails on which roots, thresholds, stones and larger paragraphs are more common.
- Very rough and sometimes blocked terrain with sporadic jumps of up to 1 meter.
- proven sports and bike parks (occasionally).
Due to the stronger loads, bicycles in this category should be intensively checked for possible damage after each trip.

Classification: Category 6
Dirtbikes and fully suspended downhill bikes with over 200 mm travel
For trips on:
- paved roads.
- Cycle paths.
- Because of that are attached by sand, gravel or similar materials (e.g. forest road, dirt road).
- Fastened and unpaved hiking trails on which roots, thresholds, stones and larger paragraphs are more common.
- Very rough and sometimes blocked terrain with sporadic jumps of up to 1 meter.
- Official downhill routes and sports and bike parks.
Due to the stronger loads, bicycles in this category should be intensively checked for possible damage after each trip.
